In furtherance of the objectives of the Illinois Association of Highway Engineers (IAHE), as stated in its constitution, to advance the professional reputation of the organization and its members and to promote the engineering profession, a scholarship award program has been established. The application form below should be used to apply for any of the three scholarships.
Applications are sent out every Spring and sent to your local Chapter who will nominate up to one candidate per scholarship and then the State Board Scholarship Committee determines the recipients. Multiple scholarships will not be awarded to the same person in the same year.
The IAHE Scholarship ($1500) grant is available to any U.S. citizen enrolled as a full-time student in a transportation related engineering curriculum at an accredited college or university in the U.S. and is recognized as a junior or senior in good standing by September 1st of the year of application submission.
The Loftus J. Collamore Memorial Scholarship ($1500) grant is available only to a member of this association or his/her immediate family, enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student in a transportation related engineering curriculum at an accredited college or university. Applicants must have completed their freshman year to be considered for this scholarship.
The State Board Scholarship ($500) grant is available only to a member of this association, or his/her immediate family. The applicant must have completed their freshman year to be considered for this scholarship. This scholarship is available to any (associate or bachelor) curriculum at an accredited college or university, by September 1st of the year of application submission.
